Well, it finally happened...We are now missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators! As some of you know, it has been a long journey in getting to this point. It began when Steve quit his job as a programmer at SOE in late 2010 and went back to college to get a degree in Applied Linguistics. This was for the purpose of joining Wycliffe to help with the work of translating the Bible into languages that don't yet have it (nearly 1900 still haven't been started!).
As many of you know, we have been focusing on East Asia for several years. However, the Lord has moved our hearts towards serving in a country where we can talk openly about Bible translation, which means East Asia is no longer a direction for us. So, we are now considering serving the Bibleless peoples in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and we are in the process of learning about opportunities there for our family.
