to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask
or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in
the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:20-21 (NKJV)
I want to thank them!
Recently, I was reading the prayer requests of Papua New Guinean
translators, and I was struck by how much they are willing to sacrifice
to get God’s Word into their own languages (you can read more, and watch a video about it on our blog).
They hunger to have the Word, but they need people like us, who have
training in linguistics, computers, and more, to come help them. We can
help with translation and training, but those who are committed to pray
for, and financially partner in, this work are essential!
“I want to see all those people overseas who helped make it [New
Testament] possible, and thank them! These people have never seen us,
but have given money and prayer so that we could have God’s Word! Just
look at the love of God shown through them... let’s thank God.” — Tom Puaria, PNG translator
Back from California
We're back in Lynden, and our trip to California went really well! We
had the privilege of speaking during both services, and to the high
school group, at Reliance Church. It was great to see old friends and
meet new ones. Friends and family opened their homes to us, blessing us
with great fellowship, meals, and more.
What role will you play?
You may not have a calling or training to move to Papua New Guinea
(in Sept. 2015) to do the work of Bible translation, but through
partnership you become our coworkers in helping the Bibleless to have
God’s Word in their own language and you reap the eternal rewards.
