The Clover Family Newsletter
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.  Eph. 3:20-21 (NKJV)

Giving someone a thumbs up is offensive?

Enable images to see this picture.Did you know that giving a thumbs up, or offering your left hand is offensive in some cultures? Yes! This and many other valuable insights were acquired in our cross-cultural missions training at the Intercultural Communication Course (ICC) on the JAARS center in Waxhaw, North Carolina.

But, after being in North Carolina for a month, it is nice to be back home in Lynden!

Our next and biggest adventure yet!

Our next adventure is to make final preparations to go to Papua New Guinea (PNG)!! Our monthly financial partnership is now at 53% of our Wycliffe ministry budget, and we have 50% of our launching costs (airfare, orientation, set-up costs, etc.).  This is a great start, but we must have both of these at 100% in order to go to PNG. This means we will miss our September launch date. Our new goal is to be fully funded by the end of November so we will be able to go to PNG in January for the next available orientation. Please pray with us that we make the January launch date.

Blessings,
