Offer accepted!

We just received (and accepted) an offer to serve with Wycliffe on behalf of the Bibleless peoples in Papua New Guinea! God has been answering several long-standing prayers recently, and our thanks go out to all of you who have been praying for our family!

December 13th, 2014 Newsletter

Well, it finally happened...

We are now missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators! As some of you know, it has been a long journey in getting to this point. It began when Steve quit his job as a programmer at SOE in late 2010 and went back to college to get a degree in Applied Linguistics. This was for the purpose of joining Wycliffe to help with the work of translating the Bible into languages that don't yet have it (nearly 1900 still haven't been started!).
As many of you know, we have been focusing on East Asia for several years. However, the Lord has moved our hearts towards serving in a country where we can talk openly about Bible translation, which means East Asia is no longer a direction for us. So, we are now considering serving the Bibleless peoples in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and we are in the process of learning about opportunities there for our family.

So, what now?

We are currently building a team of financial and prayer partners who wish to invest in our Wycliffe ministry. As part of our training for this task, our family will be going out to Wycliffe USA's headquarters in Orlando, Florida for two weeks in mid-January.

How can you be a part of Bible translation?

You can have a direct impact on the work of Bible translation by partnering in our Wycliffe ministry. To partner in prayer, please contact us by going here and clicking the Pray button. To partner financially, see the partnership information in the sidebar.

"The greatest missionary is the Bible in the mother tongue. It needs no furlough and is never considered a foreigner."
